Each lighthouse is individually hand-crafted, painted and signed by the artist.
The lighthouse itself is made of hardwood, and has been shaped on a lathe. This lighthouse windchime design is an exclusive, copywrited design of Windchimes and Whimsey. You won't find wooden lighthouse figures on copper chimes anywhere else, and you won't find wind chimes that match this quality and individuality either!
The chimes hang below a wooden base that has the name of the lighthouse stamped on the rim. The base, the clapper piece that strikes the chimes, as well as the “sail” that hangs below the pipes, are all coated with an outdoor varnish that has UV inhibitors. This gives long life to the varnish and helps to keep the piece looking new for years.
The lighthouse itself is finished with outdoor housepaint, with a minimum of 5 coats of paint. This piece has been designed to withstand the elements and hold up under the most extreme conditions. It has been made to be in outside weather conditions, so do not be afraid to display it out-of-doors.
